Inferential Thinking

These are books that present the reader with frequent opportunities to draw inferences. In these books, readers are often provided information by the author that is not “on the page.” Inferring is a strategy that requires the reader to predict upcoming events in a story, empathize with characters’ feelings, or draw conclusions.
